the house is coming along nicely

We've finally got some of our stuff. They lost our first shipment of stuff, the one that is supposed to tide you over. All of our clothing that wasn't in our suitcases was in that shipment, most of Zach's and Wes' toys as well as all my Pampered Chef stuff. I *think* there was some scrapping supplies in it, but I'm not sure. There's going to be hell to pay for the moving company even when they do find it. They're late delivering it which means they're fined and heavily. good. They deserve it. Cody is going in Monday to see if they have our stuff, if not we'll be going to the base legal office and seeing where we go from there. Thankfully we have renter's insurance, but with not even being sure what is in there it'll be hard to be compensated for it all if they lost it.
We got our main shipment Tuesday though so we didn't have to do a ghetto style Thanksgiving on the floor. We ended up not cooking a whole lot because I apparently can no longer cook on stuff that isn't stoneware. oops. That and no can opener, wine bottle opener, peeler, knives... well it makes cooking difficult.
The American movers were great though and pretty funny. They got everything unloaded pretty quickly and were really careful with my antiques. So it was a good moving day.
We already bought ourselves a new bed so we ended up putting the old bed in the basement. Cody finally has a night table and our bedroom is almost finished. The boys pretty much have their rooms done. Zach was very excited to see some of his toys. He was even more excited by all the books though and just yelled out"MOM!! BOOKS!! WOW!!" when he saw them. Did I mention very excited?
In a little under 2 days of actually unpacking, we've got most of the house unpacked. I found about 2 boxes of stuff to donate and a whole box of books to get rid of. We still have a couple boxes to unpack before it's all done and that's not counting my craft room. Cody and I are both sickly though so it'll have to wait a couple days.
Cody was very very happy his tv didn't get wrecked in the move. They'd just put down "large tv" instead of 42 inch wide screen plasma tv. The movers were scared it might have been put on its side or something. I think the movers were more scared about it then I was. Anyway, the tv was fine and has been greatly enjoyed the last couple of days. I'm loving watching all these different show there are now. More then 5 chanels is a good thing
