Monsters in the House

The boys became obsessed with monsters after we started making monsters for them to play with at home. Enter Halloween and Aunty Heather. Seeing as how I can not sew from a pattern, Aunty Heather was kind enough to make monster costumes for the boys.

The costumes arrived here today and the boys went nuts when the doorbell rang. They knew the costumes were on the way and couldn't wait to open the box. I was in my room when the package came and they both came running down the hall yelling "Aunty Heather's monsters are here mom. they're here, they're here. come look. MOMOMOMOMOMOM." Now these monsters aren't particularly scary, but they are ever so soft to cuddle

The costumes are a little big, but I think that just makes it even cuter. We also bought some organge and blue glow sticks to put on them as well. Wes already wants to wear his costume to all day today and if he didn't have issues with peeing his pants, I'd let him.

As it is, Heather and I don't know how well these wash so I'd rather just hold off on that until after Halloween. If it's anything like the Stitch costume he wore for 6 months after Halloween, I'm sure these costumes will see a lot of use from Wesley. With room to grow, these costumes won't give him a wedgie either.

Now I just need to trim the fur off a little around the zipper so the boys can do it themselves and we're all set to go. They're both very very excited about them and I think they look so stinkin' cute plus these will be really really warm for Halloween since it's been so cold here lately.
