More doctor appointments

I get to go see the doctor again tomorrow. I like this new one. She got me off the fat meds. The meds you're only supposed to take 1/2 or 1 pill of a day and I was taking 4. Is it any wonder I gained about 20 lbs. In 3 months? She put me on this stuff called "Melatonin" that is non habit forming and helps me sleep. You can get it in the vitamin section. It really helps and the headaches are a little better since taking it and since getting a new, better mattress to sleep on. A good night sleep is helping.

I'm also on Topomax now (anti-seizure) instead of Elavil (anti-depression). The Topomax makes soda taste yicky and so I've lost a bit of weight from no soda. It also makes you lose weight in general so it's helping to get rid of the Elavil weight gain. woot. I still have the headaches, but I'm not nearly as mood swingy.

On the upside I'm also not allergic to chocolate. I had this odd little pimple things pretty much every where on my back (eww) I thought it was from the chocolate. Stopped eating it and they sort of went away, but not a whole lot. Stopped the Elavil and they are totally gone now. woot. Those were yucky. Very yucky.

I have to eat like 5 meals a day. I can't eat too much at a time or I get sick. Can't go too long between meals or I get sick. As in I want to throw up now type of sick. It's horrid. I can't eat a whole lot of processed food any more. It just doesn't taste right. I tried Oreos, my favorites, and they were nasty. Beyond nasty. Krispy Kremes? NASTY! Anything with too much sugar is just disgusting now. I can't eat more then a couple bites of sugar stuff either or I feel ill. I'm beginning to understand why people lose weight on this med.

The headaches are still there though. I have one right now. It's annoying it. Kind of drains the life out of you to always be in a mild bit of pain. Hopefully we'll figure out something soon. It's been a year of different doctors and I'm ready for it to end. This latest doctor is great though and I'm so glad I got her. She's been wonderful.
