Mr. Student of the Month

I can't believe I didn't post here. Maybe it's because Zach got to call everyone to tell them? He won student of the month for March. YAY! He was sooooo excited to tell everyone about it so we let him call whoever he wanted to call and tell. They took his picture and gave him a little dog tag that said "Student of the month" on it. Zach was soooooo excited when I said we'd go get a little cake.

So off to the store we go and I have to show my ID at the door. He tells the ID checker he got student of the month. We head to the bakery and he picks out this little cake with balloons on it. He tells the baker he got student of the month. We go to the produce section and he tells the produce guy he got student of the month. He gets a free sample cookie and tells the cookie lady he got student of the month. We finally check out and he tells the cashier he got student of the month.

He was so excited to tell Cody when Cody finally came home from work. Just bursting with pride to tell his daddy about his award and his cake. I have to say that it was the most vile cake I've ever eaten. Pure sugar with coloring. Cody and I split a piece and I still couldn't eat it all. ewwww. The boys loved it though as only small children could.

Zach was also given his report card today. He's doing wonderful. His teacher said "Zachary has a great imagination. He has great interpersonal skill and makes friends easily. He seems to enjoy school especially math which seems to come very easily to him." Cody was excited about the math part. I was excited about the friend part. Zach was excited just to be excited. He writing so much better now and he knows all the site words he needs to know. He can even read a little which just trips me out.

Way to go Mr. Student of the Month. Way to go.
