Wednesday Ritual

Every Wednesday Wesley and I head to the library for story time. He becomes so excited when I tell him it's time to go take the books back because he knows he can pick out new ones now too plus he usually gets to see his buddy Cael and he loves playing with Cael.

10 am finds us right outside the library doors waiting for the librarians to let us inside. If they take too long Wesley starts knocking on the door saying "Helwo?" until someone opens it up. He waits impatiently, dancing from foot to happy foot with anticipation.

The librarian usually reads at least three stories and then Wes does a craft that relates to one of the stories in some way.

After craft time he heads up and down the aisles picking out books and I have to stop him at around ten or eleven books.

We then head to the movie section where he can pick out a movie or two to watch at home while his Zachee is at school.

I'm not sure which part is his favorite part on our Wednesday trips, or if it's the whole package deal, but he's so much happier on Wednesdays now that he gets to do something big kid all by himself.
