Wesley the gamer

We've had children's games on the laptop for a while and Wesley loves to watch Zachary play them. Wesley won't play them himself though, he tells us he's too little. Zachary had all the ThunderCats episodes on the computer to watch this summer and so he just couldn't be bothered to play the computer for Wesley.

The way the computer playing worked was Zach worked the mouse while Wesley insisted on what Zach should click on. Very annoying for Zach but great fun for Wesley. Wes was very angry at the Thundercats for messing up this arrangement.

We decided it was time for Wes to control the mouse so I sent Zach upstairs and told Wes he could do the mouse. He insisted he was too little. When I put his hand on the mouse to guide him, he freaked on me a bit insisting once again he was too little. Zach came back downstairs and made a big deal about Wesley handling the mouse. He kept saying how Wes was such a big boy. That gave Wes a little encouragement.

So in went a Dora game and I started up the painting for him. Painting on Dora is where you click on a numbered paint bucket and click on that same number on the picture. Since Wes already knows his numbers, it should be easy for him. Alas, the mouse confused him.

For about 1 picture. He is the son of Cody after all so he picked it up rather quickly.

And now he plays all day long.

Just like Daddy would if he could.

Thus the headphones. If I have to listen to Dora tell him to click on one more damn part of that game I'm going to scream.

But he controls the mouse and another gamer is created. Woot
