An update of Sorts

So, it's been a while. Oops. We've been fairly busy.

Zachary is enjoying cubscouts, but Cody and I aren't so sure we like him to be in it. There are a couple parents/children that I want to throttle and I have to say they make the whole experiance a bit horrid. He likes it though so I'm not sure we'll pull him out yet. He also looks incredibly cute in his little uniform even if they do seem to reward for every little thing. Speaking of, I typed a sentence. Where's my bead?

Wesley is enjoying preschool too. He really likes his teacher Ms. Laurie. She had nothing except good things to say about him during parent/teacher conferences. Apparently he plays well by himself and also with others. He adapts well to situations outside of the routine and he seems secure in the knowledge that adults are there to protect him. She said he really has no stranger danger and the one time he didn't like an adult it really made her question the adult and what was wrong with him in order for Wesley not to like the man. He particularly likes show and tell day (every monday) and he enjoys packing up his object in to his red pack pack to bring to school. I've found that he's also doing much better on the potty training front as well.

The house is still moldy. I've heard rumors that they're supposed to move us soon but some how I doubt it. We rearranged the living room around quite a bit and it feels much more open even if Cody did bitch the whole time we were moving stuff around. One of his major complaints is that just as he is getting used to how the house is, I go and change it all. I can't move the furniture around all by myself either so he has to help with that as well: his other complaint is about moving the furniture.

He's been working nights this whole month and that's sucked as well. It's meant a lot of late nights since I can't seem to fall asleep without him in the bed as well.

I've been reorganizing. I still have quite a ways to go, but it's getting there. We're putting in for a humanitarian move I think so we can move to Tucson and be closer to Cody's mom. He thinks it a pisspoor reason to move and a little underhanded because she's doing okay, but I figure they haven't taken care of us at this base so whatever gets us to move is okay by me. I wouldn't mind being able to wear skirts all year long instead of just a couple months of the year. This snow stuff sucks too and I'm tired of it. Add in the poorly repaired moldy house and it just seals the deal. Apparently the new houses aren't really all that better either because they're poorly built. So yeah, they don't have the problems my old modly house has, but they'll have a whole new list of problems.

The kittens are doing well. The boys seem to enjoy them more and more as the kittens allow them to come near and pet them now. Pumpkin whores herself out to anyone that will pet her, but Daisy seems to not like men at all. Not sure why that is exactly. It's not like Cody is mean to her. She does enjoy sleeping with Wesley, but he has to be asleep in order for her to go in there.

I'm visiting Erin right now and it's been fun so far. I do miss the comforts of home though. Stuff like a television, regular access to the internet and video games. Oh and meat. Yes, meat is nice even if I don't eat it often. Not having it at all is just odd to me. Poor Cody is all alone with the boys with nothing to do except play games with them. I'm sure it's just killing him. NOT.

So there's the update. No pictures because I'm not at home and forgot the thumb drive in my other purse.
