I love our baby sitter
So our baby sitter is some guy in high school named Chris. A friend told me about him and said he was great. Anywho, he got here a couple minutes before he was supposed to, he talked with Wes and actually understood what Wes was saying. This is big! Even the grandparents don't really understand Wes, so for a complete stranger to understand him is just huge. He told me he has six (yes six) siblings so he should be okay. Took the babysitter course on base and the boys seemed to love him right away.
We had a great night out. It was fantastic to not only have my kids not there, but to not have anyone else's kids there either. I hate with a passion when I get a sitter and the night is ruined by some dipshit parent that brings their kid to a place they shouldn't. Totally ruins the night to hear kids whining and complaining and crying throughout your dinner.
We came home a little late, but they were all sitting on the couch watching Fraggle Rock. Chris was reading one of our books and my house was NOT trashed. Amazing. Even Cody can't take care of the kids without the house getting trashed in the process. I put the boys to sleep and Zach kept telling me "Chris is so cool mom. Chris is silly!" Zach said they watched movies and ate popcorn and Christ played transformers with him.
Chris also said he plays sax in the band so Cody and I thought he was faboo instantly. He also plays football and baseball, but hopefully he'll be free for our anniversary. I'd love a night out with no kids.
