5 years and counting

Cody and I had a pretty good anniversary. We got Chris to come over and babysit again. Zach was so excited when I told him Chris was coming to play. He practically pushed us out the door.
We ended up going to Ramties for dinner. Very good beef there and the best part is no kids allowed. Nothing sucks worse when I pay for a sitter and then have to listen to someone else's kid cry the whole dinner while their idiot parents do nothing. You cook the food yourself in the middle of the table so the owner doesn't allow children under 3 to come in at all. Two couples came in while we were there and had like a 1 1/2 year old with them. There's a huge sign on the door saying "no babies (0-3) allowed" and they totally ignored it. So they walk in and he says that he's sorry but they'll have to leave. His restaurant isn't appropriate for children and their child is too small. They got really upset at him and grumbled stuff as they left. Cody and I tried not to titter, but it was sort of funny to us.
The owner btw is like the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld. If it isn't on the table then don't ask for it. I've heard stories of him going off on people when they ask for soy sauce to put on his beef. He gets very upset and says his beef is good and it doesn't need sauce. Then he gives you evil looks until you leave. I've never seen it happen though. Of course I've never asked for sauce either.
After dinner we went to the mall to watch a movie and there was nothing showing for like 4 hours. By the time we got in to the movie, watched it and came home it would be almost midnight and that was just too late for us. It would mean Chris would be watching the boys for like 6 hours and I just wasn't comfortable with that. It's a lot to put on a person even if you're paying them.
So instead we wandered the mall and went in to all the little stores we never go in to with the boys. Cody bought himself a pair of toe socks. They have a spot for his big toe and then a separate spot for the other four toes. Kind of like a mitten for your feet. He only bought one pair in case he didn't like them, but he loves them. So he's going back to get more socks in black so he can wear them to work.
I bought myself a purse with two pockets in the front. I put my wallet in one pocket and the sunglasses for the boys and I in the other. The inside has a pouch to put my lipstick and pens in and another for my keys. I can fit my camera and ds in there as well as odds and ends. not bad for $20. It's really cute too. And white so it'll go with everything.
Speaking of DS, that's the other thing Cody got me. He let me play his Nintendo DS and I loved the Wario Touched game so he bought me my own. We got it off base so I could have a pink one and we bought the Japanese version of Wario Touched because it has more games. I have a special little pouch to put it in too. My dad laughed so hard when I said that was my anniversary present. He said he keeps forgetting how young we are:-p Thanks dad. Anyway, Wes loves watching me play the weird games and that means he sits still for a while. It'll really help my plane ride with him go faster when the DVD players run out of juice.
Ummm.... I think that's all we did. The photo is from one of those weird photo booths they have here. The booth had a platform that it would raise so we could sit on it in some shots. It also had a blower to make the wind go so the photos look more realistic. I didn't notice until afterwards that it was a boob shot, but oh well. I'm sure Cody doesn't mind.
