"Need hold chue"

I woke up at 7 this morning despite going to bed at almost 3 am. So not ready to wake up and I really wasn't sure why I did. So I fixed Zach breakfast (he's an early riser like his dad) and let him watch toons in the living room which is a special treat for him. Whole different line up of toons this early in the morning. When I went to go find Wes I panicked a little. I had just seen him on the floor in their room and he was gone. The baby gate wasn't down yet and I thought (with horror I might add) that he could finally climb over it.

Nah, their room was too bright for him so he had a body pillow over his tiny body trying to block out the light. Awe. Cute isn't he? I asked him if he was tired and I got the most pathetic "MMMmmhhmmmm." had a slight whine to it. I asked if he wanted to go lay in mommy's bed and his little eyes lit up and he took off running from his bed to my bed after I took the gate down. Climbed up in my bed as fast as he could get in and then scrunched himself down in Cody's side of the bed. I turned my music back on for him and lowered the bamboo shade to block out as much light as possible.

I was going to go to the bathroom and Wes looked at me with his puppy dog eyes "Need hold chue mommy." Awe again. It was so sweet in his little toddler voice with his mispronounced words. I always have to ask if "you want mommy to hold you?" and he almost always say yes. This is the first time he asked me and I melted. Of course the bathroom was forgotten and I lay down on the bed while he snuggled right up against my chest. He lifted his head again "Need tisses please mommy." And so of course I sat and gave him kisses. He likes little kisses by his neck the best. They tickle a little.

I'm gonna miss when my tiny buddy isn't so tiny anymore :-(
