We've lived here too long

You know you've lived in Japan too long when you have an earthquake and no one freaks out.

Today I was on the phone with my friend Cori and my tower started shaking "oooohhh earthquake." about five seconds later I hear the same thing from Cori. We talk on and the shake continues around us. We both started laughing because neither of us was freaking out and our kids were fine. I thought I heard a door opening though so I had to go. Sure enough our house is shaking so bad my cabinets are opening so I rush over to close them real quick.

Zach was on the couch watching tv and he looked up at me "Mom, what's wrong with this house?" No panic like he used to, just annoyance that his tv was moving. Wes sat on his little table in their room laughing as it moved back and forth.

yup, we've lived here too long when an earthquake makes a kid laugh instead of freaking out. It was a pretty good sized one too, but no damage to anything.
