I'm a horrid person

I just haven't had the time to update this as much as I did in Japan. It seems like we're always busy now, especially since the boys are going to school.

So what's new? It's snowed a lot here and we've had several snow days. Those haven't been fun. The boys made valentines for their class parties and were the only kids to give out homemade valentines. I gave Zach the option to buy them and he looked at me like I was an idiot. Apparently in this home we don't buy valentines cards. He came home from his party (which was a day later due to weather) and said (in a disgusted tone of voice) that three of his classmates all had the same ones to give out "and that's just craziness. I'm glad we made ours."

I had to step back when making them. I was trying to help and make them look pretty but that wasn't fun for me or for Zach. In the end, as long as he was happy with them and had fun making them, that was all that mattered. So I gave him supplies, showed him how to stamp and let him have at it. That ended up being the smart plan.

We had our basement partially flood with sewage water. Our neighbors were hit with it too. They had laundry on the floor too so it was even worse for them. I keep our laundry in a rolling cart after the first time. So they complained to her first shirt and he said he'd see what he can do. Apparently houses are starting to be released: one street every month. I'm hoping we're out of this house soon and on to a new house with its own issues.

I bought a Wii for Cody and the menfolk are all having fun playing it. It's odd to learn, but we've had fun. The boys (Zach specifically) have been playing it a lot more then I get to play it. Eventually I'll play it though, like tomorrow when they go to school. mwahahaha

I taught a class the other day and it was unexpected. I hadn't planned on one but they were doing an all day crop and several people were interested in an album I make. So I taught the class and met interesting people. It was great.

I also was given these great organizer from the store. They're remodeling and took down some slatted wall things they use for displaying merchandise. i took home the ones I could and plan on hanging them in the kitchen. I bought hooks for cooking stuff, pans etc to hang on the wall. I can't wait to see the finish project although I have a good idea of how it looks in my head. I was cheesed though that they were just going to throw those things away. At the very least send it to the airman's attic you know? They said they couldn't do that because it was bought with government funds, but I find that silly. They can't donate it to an organization that only lets military people take stuff, but they can throw it in a landfill? Yeah. great reasoning. I felt horrid that I couldnt' fit them all in my car and now that I think about them, I could use them in so many more places for organizing and they look nice.

So that's about it. I found a ton of photos and I'll have to update bit by bit complete with photos. I've also come to the conclusion that Zach takes better photos of me then Cody, that more photos need to be taken of me and that I need to learn to take them myself or something so that that gets done
