Christmas
Christmas was uneventful. No family drama, no ER visits... just lots of squealing. We had much more under the tree then I expected once I brought up the things that were sent to us. It was all stacked on the table under our little tree. I wanted to put up the other trees this year, but the puppy was having none of that. I didn't even end up putting any of our normal ornaments on the tree because between the dog and the cats attacking everything on the tree, I really didn't want to lose some sentimental stuff to them.
We ended up with a tiny white tree with white lights put up out of dog reach. I decorated it with snowflakes we found here and there, white butterflies, blue ribbon, the angel Cody's mom gave us, and some sock monkeys.
The boys each decorated a tree in their room as well.
So they each had a tiny tree in their room, we had a tiny tree on the table and some butterfly ornaments were sacrificed to the cats... and the bird ornament I bought didn't last a night. I think the poor thing is still being tortchered around the house somewhere.
Christmas morning, Zach woke us up and we set about to the quick task of opening presents. Cody was very excited to get his present.

He was also very excited to give his big present to me. It turns out, we both bought each other things the reciever had wanted and deemed to expensive and frivolous to buy themselves. He got an 80g ipod
classic, I got a red kitchen aid mixer.
The boys were also very excited for Christmas. I'm sure beyond their oma's present, they don't remember what they got. Why is that you ask? Because Oma sent them laptops and we haven't seen them since those were opened.
We bought them laptop accessories and hooked up everything for them. After that, they were all over the internet (well at least to the sites we let them go), playing funkeys, and watching DVDs.
Zach literally squealed when he saw it. He did this little chirp of astonishment and then was just so excited he hardly talked... which is HUGE for that boy lemme tell ya.
It was a fun, relaxing day in the Roberts' household. I was
grateful that we're all in realitively good health, in a mold free/sewage free house, and that our extended family is doing well.
