Wes stitches

Wes got a lovely set of stitches last week. He decided to play balance beam on the futon and fell off. He was yelling out "I'mokay" on his way down and hit the edge of a being tiled table with his bicep. Once he saw blood, it turned to screams of panic. Cody went running over and came rushing upstairs from the basement carrying Wes and holding Wes' little arm shut. The angle that he was holding Wes' arm made me think it was broken.
We dropped Zach off with a friend and rushed to the ER off base. I have to say that aside from being very very scared because I didn't know how bad it was yet, the ER experience wasn't
horrid. They got us in right away and all we had to do was show them Cody's military ID card. My paperwork to leave consisted of giving them our names, address, phone and Cody's social and signing a form that allows them to release Wes' medical record to Tri-Care for billing. They weighed Wes, took his temperature and vitals, assessed his wound and found him a little gown because we rushed him there in what he was wearing which happened to be just undies and a shirt. We waited for a couple minutes while they set up the room and then Cody took Wes from the triage room to the other room.
They tricked Wes in to being wrapped up. Got him a blanket and asked if he was cold. They wrapped his whole body except his arm in it and he couldn't move... or so they thought. It took Cody and two nurses to hold him down. Wes was in a panic and screaming as they poked his little arm 12 times with a needle to numb it. Cody ever so smartly asked what pokemon Wesley caught that day and he was then okay with the sewing of his arm.
He thinks his stitches are pretty cool and likes to scare Zach with them. Theresa evened the score and sent Zach some fake stitches of his own and they've been scaring people with both sets now.
